Veterans Wall of Honor McDonough Georgia

 

 

     Heritage Park in McDonough, Georgia is the site of the Veterans Wall of Honor, a unique national monument

    that pays tribute to all men and women who served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.The

monument sits on a 2 1/2 acre hilltop site directly behind the unique buildings that make up the historic Heritage Village at Heritage Park. Old Glory, the 50 state flags and the emblems of all the military branches providea grand backdrop for the focal point, a 75-foot long granite wall laser engraved with depictions of various scenes of battle

and service by our military as well as famous quotes by our nation's leaders and excerpts from inspirational

poems. Anyone, regardless of their home state, may honor a loved one or show support for this beautiful

 monument, by purchasing a 4 x 8 paving brick inscribed with up to 3 lines of print (14 letters, characters

 or spaces per line) for $35 or a 12” x 12” brick inscribed with up to 4 lines of print (16 characters or

spaces per line) for $175. Donations and brick orders can be made by printing and completing this

order form, and mailing it, along with your check made payable to the Henry County Board of

Commissioners to:

In Henry County?
 
1) To minister to our own Veterans here in Henry County, and then to the rest of the surrounding areas later.
 
2) To begin a ministry in the nursing homes locally, and then to the homebound veterans.
 
3) To assist in any way possible, new veterans coming home from overseas, and to welcome them home.
